Outstanding Educator of Students with Autism Award
The Midwest Symposium for Leadership in Behavior Disorders annually recognizes an individual who has exhibited outstanding achievement and excellence in classroom service to students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The Richard L. Simpson Conference on Autism and the Outstanding Educator Award give at this event started in 2018.

Danielle Wesley, 2018
In October at the first annual Simpson Autism Conference, Danielle Wesley received the MSLBD “Outstanding Educator of Students with Autism Award” for her excellence in classroom service to students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). She has served as a teacher in the Shawnee Mission School District and is currently a Behavior/Autism Specialist in the Lee’s Summit School District.

Carin Paullin, 2019
In October at the second annual Simpson Autism Conference, Carin Dallas Paullin received the MSLBD “Outstanding Educator of Students with Autism Award” for her excellence in classroom service to students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). She is an Autism Coach and Teacher in the Shawnee Mission School District.
