Stacy Hirt, Ed.S.
Stacy M. Hirt is a 2nd-year doctoral student in the Special Department at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. Previously, Stacy served as a Tier 2 / Tier 3 district-wide behavior specialist, serving students with emotional and behavioral concerns K-5 for Columbia Public Schools. Currently, Stacy is a research assistant for Project STAIR (Supporting Teaching of Algebra: Individual Readiness), FLIPPED Instruction, and MU Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS). With over 15 years of special education field experience (K-12), Stacy has worked diligently to support students, families, teachers, administrators, district coordinators, and outside agencies, facilitating positive partnerships utilizing data-based decision making to support children with diverse learning needs.
