Janice Motta, is a special education teacher at the Miller Park Special Services Center in the Lee’s Summit School District. Janice has been serving the students of the RISE (Relationship-Building, Intervention-Based, Social/Emotional) program for 13 years. This program is a public separate day facility for individuals with significant social, emotional and/or behavioral needs.

Janice has previously taught middle school science in the Kansas City School District. She is also a US Army veteran who served her country overseas in Maastricht, the Netherlands.

Janice became part of the MSLBD Master Teacher Project in 2019.
