Seth Piro, Ed.S.

Iowa born, Oregon raised, and Colorado trained; Seth Piro was on his first behavior plan at age 7 and has been writing them professionally since 2007. Having first gained experience as a para-educator in a wide range of programs in the Portland Public School District in Oregon, Seth’s passion for advocating and supporting individuals with disabilities developed into the pursuit of a career in School Psychology. After completing his Specialist in Education degree in the area of School Psychology at the University of Northern Colorado he began work in Iowa for the Green Hills Area Education Agency. Seth is currently serving districts as a school psychologist and challenging behavior consultant across southwest Iowa. In addition to working in small schools; Seth serves on numerous area and state-wide committees. He has received advanced training in experimental analysis from the University of Iowa. Seth’s passion for giving resources and training to others has lead to becoming a non-violent physical intervention trainer and he has taught courses in psychology and behavior for local colleges and universities. Seth has been a proud presenter at MSLBD for the past three years and enjoys participating on the Master Teacher Committee. He once had to leave his breakfast cereal sitting in the bowl for over an hour to help a turtle swim to safety; upon his return the Capitan Crunch was still crispy.
